Launched weekly zoom discussion forum for our Young Adult Pacific Islanders to provide an outlet for support and discussing various topics.
Launched weekly zoom Wayfinder Workshops for 9-12 grade students to discuss belonging, culture and purpose.
Continued Fananga literacy work with over 70 K-5 students to improve reading frequency and comprehension.
Hosted “Fananga” event for students and community to express literacy through spoken word in support of our literacy efforts in the Oakland Unified.

Launched the “Fananga” literacy program for academic school year 2019-2020 as a result of being awarded contract with Oakland Unified to work with Pacific Islander students K-5 to improve literacy and academic achievement.
In partnership with Oakland Unified and Laney College hosted the 2nd Annual Pacific Islander Honor Roll celebration.
Successful family engagement efforts to raise awareness, advocate, organize and engage the Pacific Islander community to fight the removal of district funding for Pacific Islander student support.
Established business partnership with Movement Ink in Oakland’s Laurel district to develop a community space for community events and retail storefront.
The re-Launch of IKUNA Apparel where ALL proceeds support our ongoing work to elevate our PI youth and community.
Organized and established the first Pacific Islander student club on the Laney College campus.
